Elissa de Brito (b. 1989) is a transdisciplinary audiovisual director, researcher and dancer. Her work searches the tactile aesthetics of human perception into the realm of embedded cognition and memories through the diverse media strands like documentaries, video-installations, video projections and video performances combined with body movement based research.
She has a bachelor degree in Audiovisual Production, from UNISINOS (BR) (2012), and holds a master degree in Film Studies, from Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin) (2019). To create her interdisciplinary works she sources from more than 25 years of experience in classical and contemporary dance, as also further music knowledge, blending the languages of body and film.
