This Open Call is aimed at immigrant artists who want to work with children with refugee experience! Play!Berlin is looking for artists from different disciplines, including visual arts, dance, music, and theater, who have experience with immigration and a strong desire to work in an empathetic and inclusive way. The artist should curate an art project from the initial idea to the final presentation.
Project overview:
Play!Berlin focuses on collaborative exploration and research with children in social housing, focusing on their interests, desires, and needs. The project consists of two blocks taking place in different social housing and hotels. Each block consists of nine sessions, with 3-4 different workshops during each session, ending with an open presentation at Heizhaus in Uferstudios.
